Cialis is an oral drug purposed to fight erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.
How Taken
Cialis should be taken exactly as your doctor has prescribe it. There are diferent doses prescribes (5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg). The recommended starting dose is 10 mg. It should be taken once a day. You doctor will give you the appropriate dose for you.
Warnings/Precautions
Cialis can be the reason for a sudden blood pressure drop especially if combined with other drugs such as recreational drugs that contain nitrates called "poppers", other nitrates and alpha-blockers. A sudden blood pressure drop may cause you dizziness, fainting, a heart attack or a stroke. You have to observe what is your reaction to Cialis and be careful when driving or working with machines. Cialis includes lactose in its content and is no recommended for patients with lactose intolerance. During treatment it is essential to avoid grapefruit juice. It increases the chances of unwanted side effects. If during Cialis treatment you are also taking other drugs containing nitrates or nitric oxide, or if you have uncontrolled blood pressure (high or low), or if you ever had a stroke or heart attack YOU MUST NOT take Cialis.
Missed Dose
If you forget to take a dose, just take it as soon as you remember if it is not later than 1 hour. If it is too close to the next dose, leave the missed one and follow your normal dose schedule. Do not take two doses at a time in order to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
Possible side effects are runny or stuffy nose, back pain, muscle pain, headache, indigestion, flushing. Usually they appear only for a few hours. Back pain and muscle aches may appear 12 to 24 hours after taking Cialis. They should fade away within 48 hours. Contact your doctor in case you experience any side effect that you are worried about and lasts longer.
Storage
Keep Cialis at average room temperature between 59 and 86 F (15 and 30 C).
Overdose
In cases of overdose, find instant medical help. Hemodialysis is a possible way to eliminate Cialis.
More Information
Consult your doctor before taking steps to change your dose. In dependence of your reaction, your doctor can raise or lower your dose. You should not consume high liquor quantities while taking Cialis. When taken in big quantities, liquor leads to headaches, dizziness, heart rate increase, low blood pressure.
