Drug Uses
Antivert is an antihistamine. It stops the activity of the histamine that is naturally produced in the human body. This drug is purposed to fight nausea, vomiting, and dizziness due to motion sickness. Antivert is also used to treat vertigo. It is also possible to be used fot other purposes.
How Taken
Antivert is produced in chewable tablets and capsules. For treating motion sickness, Antivert has to be taken 1 hour before you start travelling. If needed, you can take it on each 24 hours. If you feel dizzy due to ear problems, consult your doctor. Read carefully the label of the prescription and contact your doctor for further information. You should use Antivert as instructed. You should not take bigger or smaller quantities of it or use it more frequently than prescribed. The chewable tablets can be swallowed whole or chewed.
Warnings/Precautions
During treatment with Antivert, you may experience drowsiness. You should not drive, work with machines or do similar activities that can be harmful until you know what is your reaction to this medicine. This drug interacts with depressants or alcohol. Consult your doctor about which drugs are exactly depressants. There is not any information whether Antivert goes into breast milk. If you are breast feeding or will be during the treatment, discuss it with your doctor to avoid any risks for your baby.
Missed Dose
As Antivert is taken when needed, there is not any problem if you miss a dose. If you are using Antivert on a regular basis and you skip a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is already time for the next dose, just forget about the one that you have missed and follow your usual schedule. You should not take a double dose.
Possible Side Effects
You should quit taking Antivert and find instant medical help if you have any of the following allergic reactions: difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives. It is possible to emerge other less severe side effects. In case of drowsiness or dizziness, dry mouth (sugarless gum ma help you get rid of it , also ice chips, saliva substitutes, or other products); blurred vision; nervousness; insomnia; or constipation, so do not stop taking Antivert and consult your doctor. Storage
You should keep Antivert in tightly closed, light-resistant containers. Keep it at normal room temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86° F).
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose, find the nearest poison control center or instantly contact your physician. The symptoms can be unusual excitability, drowsiness, hallucinations, very slow or shallow breathing, and seizures.

Antivert is likely to add power to the activity of other drugs that also cause drowsiness, such as antidepressants, alcohol, antihistamines, sedatives (for treatment of insomnia), pain relievers, anxiety medicines, and muscle relaxants.
