Drug Uses
Allegra is prescribed for complaints of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and children 6 years of age and older. It treats successfully sneezing, rhinorrhea, itchy nose/palate/throat, itchy/watery/red eyes.
How Taken
Allegra is produced in capsules or tablets and should be taken orally. It should be taken twice a day, in the morning and the evening. Stick to your physician’s directions. Take the pill with enough amount of water.
Warnings/Precautions
You should not use Allegra if you have experienced an allergic reaction to it. Before prescription, your physician should be informed about any previous or current illnesses regarding the heart, liver or kidney. In these cases you may need a special adjustment of the dose or special medical observation during the treatment period. Allegra is in the FDA pregnancy category C. Possible Side Effects
You should immediately stop taking Allegra and find instant medical help if you observe any unusual conditions (breathing difficulties; closing of the throat; lips, tongue, or face swellings; or hives). The listed allergic symptoms do not occur often and there is not any chance of appearance of any other serious side effects. However, you may observe some insignificant ones. In such cases do not stop taking Allegra and contact your doctor in case of nausea or an upset stomach. There are also other side effects that are likely to emerge, which are not listed above. Storage
Allegra should be stored at an average room temperature between 20-25°C (68-77°F). It should be kept away from moisture.
